The life story of Prophet Muhammad r has been a major concern for those interested in learning about him and his way of life, whether they be Muslim or otherwise. For Muslims, studying <em>the<\/em> tradition and practice (<em>seerah<\/em>) of the Prophet r has been foundational to learning about their faith and relaying <em>his<\/em> legacy on to current and future generations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many Muslim <em>salaf<\/em> (righteous predecessors) have given the preservation of the <em>seerah<\/em> and the Qur\u2019an an equal amount of attention. This is so because the <em>seerah<\/em> holds the requisite key to emulating <em>the<\/em> example of the Prophet r in all walks of his life: worship, theology, day-to-day affairs, mannerisms, teachings, transactions, appearance, etiquette, and others. While numerous reports have been collected about the <em>seerah<\/em> of the Prophet r, in this book our focus is only on those that are authentic and those that contain the clause \u0643\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0631\u064e\u0633\u0648\u0644\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647 \u00a0or \u00a0\u0643\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0628\u064a\u00a0 (<em>kaana rasoolu-Lah or kaana n-Nabiy<\/em>: The Messenger of Allah\/the Prophet was\u2026 or The Messenger of Allah\/the Prophet used to\u2026), prefacing the introduction of a Prophetic instance.<\/p>\n<p>Each section of the book includes sub-headings in italics that briefly share <em>the<\/em> Prophetic practice in question. Each hadith appears in Arabic followed by its English translation with parenthetical materials where it is deemed necessary. Some major supplications (<em>du`aa\u2019<\/em>) are also transliterated for those learners interested in re-producing the relevant <em>du`aa\u2019<\/em> in the Prophet\u2019s words.
