This book focuses on prohibited matters that only concern women, not men. This book is divided into different sections based on the main topic of the prohibition. Under each topic, there follows text from the Sunnah and/or, occasionally, from the Qur’an in Arabic. Following the Arabic text are their translations and lessons to be learned from the connected ahadith (Hadith reports) or ayat (Qur’anic verses) and relevant lessons from elsewhere in the Qur’an and Sunnah.
Description
While Islamic rulings and injunctions are generally laid down for both men and women just the same, sometimes there are instances where certain rulings are specific to one gender, and not the other. The rulings specific to one gender and not the other can only be reached if there is evidence from the Qur’an and/or Sunnah. The same goes for prohibited matters: they are generally applicable to both; however, there are occasions when certain prohibitions are strictly reserved for one and not the other.
